Partnerships
Northern Spotlight considers collaborations that make sense for readers interested in northern places and regional life. Proposals should explain the subject, intended audience, format and any commercial connection so we can assess fit and label the work clearly.
Possible collaborations
We may consider clearly defined sponsored features, commissioned partner material, relevant resource placements and other editorially appropriate collaborations. A proposal should offer a useful connection to the publication's subjects, not merely request exposure. We do not guarantee coverage, favourable opinions or editorial approval as part of a partnership.
Partner placements
Relevant partner links or placements may appear in suitable parts of the site, including topic pages or editorial features where the connection is clear. Placement does not imply endorsement of every claim, product or service. We reserve editorial control over wording, position and whether a proposal is accepted.
Clear labelling
Sponsored and partner material is identified where readers encounter it. Commercial arrangements do not determine the conclusions of independent editorial work. Send proposals through the Contact page and include the organisation or project involved, the proposed placement, timing and any payment or other material relationship.
A place is more than its view
We look for the clues in the ground, the built forms and the words people use. Small details can make a familiar place easier to read.
